Bus Transportation for Students attending Private or Parochial Schools
Resident pupils of the Oysterponds UFSD scheduled to attend, or who anticipate attending, private or parochial schools are invited to request bus transportation in accordance with distance limitations provided for the public school students if the distance from home to the private or parochial school is not greater than 15 miles. To apply for transportation for the 2015-2016 school year to a private or parochial school, a request for a transportation form must be received by the district office no later than April 1, 2015.
This transportation form must, by law be submitted each year. A separate form must be filed for each child. If, after applying, you wish to change the school which you had originally requested transportation for, you must cancel your previous request and submit another request for transportation on or before April 1, 2015 deadline.
Submit written request for schools within the 15-mile limit to:

Kindergarten Registration in Oysterponds
Oysterponds School District will hold kindergarten registration Wednesday and Thursday, April 1
from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school. Children must be 5 on or before Dec. 1, 2015, to enter kindergarten in September. You may request a registration packet before the registration dates, by calling 323-2410 Ext. 100.
Parents must bring the child’s original birth certificate, immunization record and three proofs of residency (items with the home address printed on them). Legally separated or divorced parents must bring the original proof of custody stating where and when the child lives within the district. It is not necessary to bring the child to registration.
The school district also wishes to identify all resident children under age 5 who, because of a disability, may need special education services now or when they enter kindergarten. Disabilities may include such problems as slow speech/language development, emotional difficulties, slow learning, hearing problems or vision impairment.
If a resident’s child has been identified as having a disability, or if anyone knows of such a child in the community, contact the school to request information be sent to the child’s family. By identifying disabled preschoolers, the district can provide help before the children enter kindergarten and plan for their needs after they enter school. All information will remain confidential.
Our mission is to educate and nurture the mind, body and spirit of all students.
