Message From the Principal

Dear Oysterponds,

“I love Zumba!”  “Can we have deep relaxation again?”  “Yoga was my favorite!”  “Can we do this again in June?”  These are just some of the comments that I heard throughout the day this past Tuesday.  “F.A.M.” day was an amazing learning opportunity for everyone that participated and it was fun.  When learning is fun everyone is happy.  When I heard one student say that she loves radishes and can’t wait to eat her “vegetable man” that she made with Ms. Neese my heart was warmed.  My sincere gratitude to the wellness committee, workshop presenters, teachers and staff for making our wellness day so awesome!

We also celebrated our 100th day of school on Tuesday and if you walk our hallways and see the beautiful student work being displayed you will see that we have learned a lot in the past 100 days.  Our teachers’ creativity in planning thematic units and projects is wonderful and you can see it when you see what our students are producing.  We are excited for our school play “Wiz of the West” brought to us by the PTA and Missoula’s Children’s Theatre.  Rehearsals will commence on Monday, February 27th and the show will be at Greenport School on Saturday, March 3rd at 5:30pm.  This is sure to be an outstanding show!

Every day is a new learning experience for me and I am excited to see what March will bring!  Will it roar in like a lion and go out like a lamb?  My prediction based on the past six months of learning here is that we will continue to roar with the excitement of learning not only in March but throughout the rest of the school year.

Have a restful and peaceful break!

Kindly,

Ms. Wittenburg
