    PLEASE NOTE:  Regular Monthly District Board of Education Meeting night to be the second Tuesday of each month unless otherwise posted and that all regular monthly meetings of the Board of Education will begin at 7:00 PM.  During the winter months, November to March the meetings will be held at 6:00 PM. If
    an Executive Session is needed, meetings will begin at 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM respectively.  Furthermore, all Board of Education meetings will be listed on the school website calendar.  All meeting notices will be posted in the Orient post office, East Marion post office, on the Poquatuck Hall community bulletin board in Orient and on the school website for the school year 2025-2026.

  • Two (2) members of the Board of Education will be elected, each to fulfill a three (3) year term, July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029 AND (1) individual to complete the last two years of a three year term to fill a vacant seat commencing on July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028 in an "At large" election.

    If interested in running for the Board of Education please pick up a candidate packet at the District Clerks Office, 23405 Main Road, Orient, NY  11957 starting February 10, 2026.

    The deadline for filing petitions is Monday, April 20, 2026 by 5:00 p.m.

  •  The Oysterponds Board of Education will hold regular meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m (past practice was 7:30 p.m.)  All School Board meetings are open to the public except for Executive Sessions (when confidential matters are discussed) which may take place either prior to the regular meeting or at the conclusion of the meeting. Please refer to the school calendar and specific meeting announcements for any changes.
