Message from Dr. Cobis

As we wrap up another wonderful school year, I want to thank our students, families, and staff for making our school such a special place. I hope everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing, and fun-filled summer. While you're making memories, don't forget to keep learning—read good books, ask questions, try new things, and explore the beautiful place we are lucky to call home.

Spend time outdoors, take a hike, watch a sunset, search for beach glass, and enjoy all that our community has to offer. Learning happens everywhere, and summer is a wonderful time to discover something new. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September!

IMPORTANT UPDATES

Student Government: Congratulations to all who ran for student government positions. Elections were held on Thursday, June 25. We applaud all of the candidates, and each student should be proud of their willingness to get involved and make a difference in our school community. We are excited to welcome our newly elected student leaders and members of the Community Service Committee next year. We look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the year ahead!

Summer Garden Volunteers Needed: This summer, our school garden will be bursting with blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, peppers, and corn. In addition to several raised garden beds, we have an active native species bed that will require ongoing care and attention. Please consider signing up for a week if you are available to spend an hour or so helping to maintain and nurture our garden. Feel free to enjoy any of the fruits and vegetables that are ready to harvest as a thank you! Please see Dr. Cobis’s POST to sign-up.

2025-2026 Oysterponds Elementary Yearbook - It’s not too late! If you are interested in ordering a yearbook, please contact Melissa Palermo @ mepalermo@oysterponds.org. A huge thank you to Mrs. Palermo and the Yearbook Club for all of their work designing the 2025-2026 yearbook.
