Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday -

Sunday, July 5th 11:30 a.m.

Oysterponds Elementary is once again participating in Heritage Day, hosted by the Oysterponds Historical Society on Sunday, July 5th - join us!

Oysterponds students are invited to march in the parade, bring their decorated bikes/scooters, or hop on a small patriotic float for the procession. Mrs. Bogden will help lead the group in festive patriotic songs. We hope to see you there—wear red, white, and blue! Meet up for the Parade at 11:30 a.m. on Oysterponds Lane behind the former Candy Man building.

The celebration begins with a parade at noon along Village Lane and culminates in patriotic ceremonies, including a community reading of the Declaration of Independence on the OHS Campus. The festivities continue at Poquatuck Park with a community picnic, live music, sweet treats, and fun family activities.
